JOB - INSTRUCTOR - CORNER BROOK

Sir Wilfred Grenfell College is a small (1300 student) liberal arts and
science institution and the Corner Brook campus of Memorial University
of Newfoundland. At Sir Wilfred Grenfell College, our emphasis is on a
small-class environment and teaching excellence in distinctive multi-
and interdisciplinary programs with four-year Bachelor's degrees in
Arts, Fine Arts, Science, and Nursing. We are currently working to
increase enrolments, build new degree programs, acquire new
infrastructure and enhance our research profile and activities.
Corner Brook (population 22,000) is a safe and friendly city with
excellent recreation and cultural facilities, situated in an area of
great natural beauty. The city is some 80 kilometers from Gros Morne
National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and 10 kilometers from
Marble Mountain, one of Eastern Canada's premier downhill ski resorts.

Sir Wilfred Grenfell College, Memorial University of Newfoundland
invites applications for a teaching term appointment in Theatre-Acting
beginning August 18, 2008 and ending April 30, 2009. The candidate will
teach two courses in Acting in any of the four years of the B.F.A.
Acting Program each semester.  In addition, the candidate should be
qualified to direct at least one mainstage production for the program.
An M.F.A. in acting/directing or equivalent is required.  As well, the
candidate should have significant experience as an actor and/or director
in the professional theatre and experience teaching at the
post-secondary level.  Particular expertise in either voice or movement
would be considered an asset.
