CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS: FRINGE - ACTORS - TORONTO

AUDITION CALL

Risking Insanity theatre is looking for multi-disciplinary actors for
their production of "Thick-Skinned". Auditions to be held Tuesday May
13th 5-9pm.   Callbacks are Wednesday May 14th 5-8pm.  The run is July
2nd to 13th at the Toronto Fringe Festival.  "Thick-Skinned" documents a
couple's journey to cope with the rare but debilitating disease,
Scleroderma.  Any profits will be shared by cast/crew.  Roles needing to
be cast are:

SUSIE:  Artist. Mid-twenties.  Sarcastic.  Suffers from a disease called
Scleroderma.     

BLAKE:  Male.  Late 20's to Early 30's.  An promising skier.
Good-looking, witty and caring.

*DR. IRVING:  Either gender.  Late twenties, early thirties.  Intern
doctor in emergency.  Likes power.  Over worked. Busy.  Doesn't like to
admit when he's/she's wrong.  

*DR. RICHARDS:  Male.  50's to 60's.  Rheumatologist.  Eccentric, but
kind-hearted.  Loves jazz music.  Is always scatting.

*DR.  GAG:  Either Gender.  Any age.  Gastroenterologist.  Overly kind,
and likes to gossip.  Good at his/her job.

Actors are asked to bring a contemporary monologue and may be asked to
read from play.  Scripts are available upon request. 

*We ideally would like to cast these three roles ( the doctors) with one
actor.  Seeking good character actors.

Equity members participating in this production will be signed to a
Fringe application and all net proceeds from the production will be
divided equally among the participants.
