SEEKING:
Florence Foster Jenkins: (50 - 70 years), Eccentric, energetic and
flamboyant Florence is a wealthy widow with a great encompassing passion
for singing. Please prepare a short excerpt from an aria in the original
language - Adele's laughing song from "Die Fledermaus" (Mein Herr
Marquis.) or Queen of the Night from Magic Flute (Der Hölle
Rache) or something similar. Will also be asked to prepare one comedic
monologue.

Cosme McMoon: (27-35 years). A fine comedic actor who is also a pianist
with Classical training. Ability to read Operatic repertoire. Cosme is a
droll and somewhat subversive personality.

Dorothy: (40 - 70's). New York society woman, wealthy, fiercely loyal
companion and fan of Madame Jenkins. Also devoted to her catatonic
poodle, Ricky.

St. Claire Byfield: (50 - 70's), English character actor, bursting at
the seams with theatricality and scotch. Charming and flirtatious he is
completely devoted to Madame, with whom he has lived for many years.
English Accent is required.

Maria: (20 - 50's). Florence's Mexican cook and housemaid. She speaks
only Spanish. Completely exasperated by the parade of eccentrics
attracted by Madame Jenkins. Dry and severe wit.
Must speak fluent Spanish, or have great Spanish pronunciation skills.

Mrs. Verrinder-Gedge: (40 - 60's). An indignant New York socialite who
is deeply offended by, and adamantly opposed to, Florence Foster
Jenkins' egregious assault on classical music. Some physical comedy may
be required.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the
audition.
