*_EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY WITH PAL CALGARY_*

*PAL CALGARY* is seeking an organized, self directed and dedicated 
individual to manage the business affairs and fundraising initiatives of

the organization.

*PAL* (*P*erforming *A*rts *L*odge) Calgary is a registered charitable 
organization established in 2004. It is dedicated to creating affordable

housing for senior, low-income people who work or have worked in the 
performing arts industry.

Duties and responsibilities:

Primarily to research and pursue funding opportunities

To work with the president and treasurer to initially establish

and manage the office and administrative affairs of PAL Calgary.

Also to maintain and update the membership database and facilitate 
communications with the membership and the national organization

Skills, experience and knowledge;

Required: competence in working with a PC, Word and Excel

Required: Office management/organizational skills

Important: Knowledge and experience with grant applications or

fund development

Asset: Competence in writing and presentation skills

Asset: Facility with website management

Asset: Experience or education in arts administration or

social housing organizations

The position, reporting to the board president, would initially be on a 
part-time (20/30 hrs a week), contract basis with the intention to 
expand the position to full time and long term. Hours will be flexible, 
with the opportunity to work predominantly from the home.

Salary negotiable.
