Frost/Nixon

A co-production with The Playhouse Theatre, Vancouver

Auditions will be held early April
Outside dates for the contract are August 18 - November 8, 2008 and
include runs in both Vancouver and Toronto.

Jim Reston - Male, mid-late thirties, American
The narrator of the story, liberal intellectual, driven by need to see
Nixon admit wrongdoing.   

Evonne Gooolagong - Female, early twenties, Australian 
Attractive Australian Aboriginal tennis star

Caroline Cushing  - Female, late twenties, American
Attractive, dark haired, adventurous, lives by her own rules, with a
pretty, infectious smile 

John Birt - Male, early-mid thirties, British
Frost's friend and long-time producer, tall, round wire glasses, classic
English Complexion, already grey-haired.  Clipped-precise oxford speak.

Bob Zelnick - Male, 'oldest of the team', American
In charge of 'American side of things'.  Square set, dark hair, gentle,
likeable, principled - erudite.  Veteran reporter.  Can do 'better than
average Nixon impersonation.'

Colonel Jack Brennan - Male, early fifties, American
Nixon's Chief of Staff, ex-military, razor-cut hair, handsome,
chiselled.

Manolo Sanchez - Male, forties, American (Hispanic)
Nixon's presidential valet.

Irving Paul (Swifty) Lazar  -Male, 70, American
Legendary Hollywood literary agent, barely 5 foot, large framed glasses,
shiny bald head, immaculately dressed, hygiene obsessed.

Mike Wallace (may be doubled with another role) - Male, 59, American
Famous television journalist.  In direct competition with Frost though
would not admit it.
