Sudbury Theatre Centre   
Auditions for the 2008-2009 Season

TORONTO AUDITION DATES: JULY 7, 8, 9, 2008

If you wish to be considered for an audition and a specific role please
send your resume, photograph and a covering letter expressing your
interest in working at the Sudbury Theatre Centre.  Clearly state your
Equity Status.  STC is a PACT theatre and operates under the CTA.  STC
is a category E House.  This means that the weekly Equity minimums will
apply to all Equity contracts.  Auditions are by invitation only.  Due
to the number of requests we receive, only those candidates who are
invited to audition will be contacted with an audition time and place.
If you have an e-mail address please include it.  We will not accept
faxed or e-mailed photos and resumes.  Please do not call the theatre.
Artists who have not worked for the STC in the past four years will be
asked to prepare (this will depend on the role they are being considered
for) one modern monologue no more than three minutes long, OR one
classical monologue and/or one song from the musical theatre repertoire.
For Sweeney Todd please note that actors will not be playing musical
instruments.   Artists who have worked at STC in the past four years and
wish to return please let us know.

The Miser

2 Male actors 50 to 60 years of age, experienced with
  classical text/farce 
2 Male actors 20 to 25 years of age, experienced with 
  classical text/farce 
3 Male actors  30 to 35 years of age, experienced with
  classical text/farce 
2 Female actors 20 to 25 years of age, experienced with 
  classical text/farce  
1 Female actor 30 to 35 years of age, experienced with 
  classical text/farce  

Contract dates: September 9 to October 12, 2008
 
Salt-Water Moon
By David French

Mary Snow Female actor to play 17 years of age.  
Jacob Mercer Male actor to play 18 years of age.

Actors must be experienced as this is a two person play.  Excellent
Newfoundland accents a must.

Contract dates: October 14 to November 9, 2008

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the
audition.
