Location:   Winnipeg, MB, will include some travel in-province

Roles: M/F, Age 18 - 35.  Actors from diverse backgrounds encouraged to
apply.

Move Your World is an in-school theatre project launched by the Ontario
Council for International Cooperation (OCIC) and MCIC to promote active
global citizenship.  

The play, You, In the Shadow (developed by OCIC) explores international
development issues (water, food, shelter, education) through the words
of young people from Canada and around the world.  The play will be
directed by Sharon Bajer.  

MCIC will be hiring 3 actors to perform in a 5 week run of You, In the
Shadow in Manitoba schools, and to facilitate participatory workshops
following the production.  The actors will participate in a
workshop/reading of the play, a 1.5 weeks full-time rehearsal, and 5
weeks of touring.  Ideal candidates will have experience in theatre for
young audiences and/or social justice theatre. Both equity and
non-equity actors may be considered, equity rates paid.  Overnight
travel within the province will be required (costs and per diems covered
by MCIC).

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the
