Marquardt Composer Joel DeStefano Cast of 15 The House of Seikilos is in
development, to premiere in 2009. We have an extended part-time workshop
and rehearsal schedule, to accommodate stamina considerations for some
of the performers. It is a diverse cast, from professional to emerging
actors, with a wide range of abilities.
Schedule:
Six Week Workshop series, October 6 to November 14,
Four Week Workshop, March 9 to April 3
3 half days, 10 hours per week, plus preparation and team meetings Two
Week Rehearsal, April 6 to 17, Tues through Sat, 4 pm - 7 pm daily
Run:
April 20th to 25, 2009 Roundhouse Community Arts Centre, Vancouver The
House of Seikilos is a contemporary twisted family voyage that bridges a
Greek tragedy with a true modern tale of fateful decision. Famous
playwright Arthur Miller writes a Greek tragedy, while his characters
explore his choice to not acknowledge his disabled son at birth. Founded
in 1985, Theatre Terrific Society envisions a world where the artistic
voice of people with disabilities is heard, seen, challenged and
respected.
