EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR POSTING - APRIL 2009

The Niagara Symphony Association in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada is
pleased to invite applications for the position of Executive Director.
It is a very exciting time of renewal for the Symphony and the
organization is eagerly seeking a dynamic new Executive Director.

The Executive Director has specific responsibility for the
administration of the Niagara Symphony Association, overseeing financial
planning and control, marketing, development, government/funding agency
relations, audience services, contract negotiations, staff and supplier
relations and board development.  In the last year, the Symphony has
been through a period of financial analysis and stabilization.  The
Symphony's next Executive Director will be asked to facilitate an
exploration of new program ideas, audience engagement strategies and
alternative operating models.  The successful candidate will offer
excellent community relations skills, not-for-profit strategic planning
and arts management experience, and an education commensurate with the
demands of leading a professional symphony in the 21st century.
