Additional information:
This December GCTC is offering a 3-day intensive Masterclass that
explores Viewpoints training.  Led by actor, dancer, director, and
choreographer Michael Greyeyes, this intensive will concentrate upon the
9 physical Viewpoints and the underpinnings of the system. 

The Viewpoints is a system of improvisation that examines performance
through the dual lenses of time and space.  Over the last twenty years
it has become internationally recognized as a major form of movement
training.

Viewpoints is valued as part of contemporary actor training because the
underpinnings of the improvisations address essential performance
concepts: becoming present, active listening, spontaneity, trust, and
spatial relationship.  The training allows actors, dancers, directors,
choreographers, and designers to find a common vocabulary, from which
they can create new theatre work and explore ensemble playing.

NOTE TO EQUITY MEMBERS: Equity is a key sponsor of these programs as
part of the Association's professional development mandate. Equity
members must be in good standing to qualify for a tuition discount.
