FUNDING CUTS THREATEN B.C. ARTS AND CULTURE
-----------------------

B.C. artists are reacting strongly to the declaration from the province's Minister for Tourism, Culture and the Arts, Kevin Krueger, that the arts and culture community isn't concerned about funding cuts.

The Alliance for Arts and Culture is spearheading the mounting opposition to a 40% funding cut to the B.C. Arts Council.

Equity members are encouraged to join a letter writing campaign calling for a restoration of funding cuts. Visit the Alliance for Arts and Culture's website (http://www.allianceforarts.com/) for more information on the "Real Jobs. Real Family. Real Economy." campaign.
