2009- 2012 EQUITY ELECTION RESULTS ANNOUNCED

Earlier today Equity elected new representatives for the 2009-2012 Council term. 

With a 28% return on ballots, Equity members have voted in a 22 member national Council as well as regional Council Policy Advisory Groups from 13 regions across Canada. 

Many thanks to the indefatigable tellers Ian Farthing, William S. Jamieson and Dawn Obokata who volunteered their time to help count of the election ballots.

The newly elected Councillors will take office at the first meeting of Equity's Council, November 29 - December 1 in Toronto, where they will vote on the positions of President and the officers of the Association. 

The newly elected regional CPAGs will take on their responsibilities in early December. CPAG meeting information will be posted posted on EQUITYONLINE at www.caea.com as soon as it becomes available.
