THE FORUM - APRIL 19 - HALIFAX, NS

THE FORUM, a moderated panel discussion on access to auditions and how
to pitch an idea to an artistic director will take place Monday, April
19 at 8:00 p.m at the Sir James Dunn Theatre, Dalhousie Arts Centre
(6101 University Avenue, Halifax).

A networking mixer with the participating 'Audition Project' artistic
directors from across Canada will follow the panel sessions. Light
refreshments and a cash bar.

- The 'How does an Actor distinguish herself to an artistic director?'
panel will be moderated by Christopher Shore, Equity member and
Executive Director of Theatre Nova Scotia.

- Wendy Lill, honorary Equity member, writer and former NDP MP for
Dartmouth, NS will moderate the panel discussion on 'How does an actor
or aspiring director pitch a project to an artistic director?'.

This studio setting forum will provide artists with an excellent
opportunity to ask questions in a supportive and encouraging
environment.

Spots are still available for the AUDITION PROJECT, designed exclusively
for professional theatre artists, are open to all members of Equity in
good standing, and non-members who self-identify as Aboriginal or as a
visible minority or as part of the ethno-racial community, and who also
self-identify as a professional artist or are in the process of becoming
a professional theatre artist.

Equity and ACTRA apprentices may now register as well.

Equity and PACT encourage all professional artists to avail themselves
of this fantastic professional development opportunity.
