Ryerson University, located in the heart of downtown Toronto, is known
for innovative programs built on the integration of theoretical and
practically oriented learning. More than 95 undergraduate and graduate
programs are distinguished by a professionally focused curriculum and
strong emphasis on excellence in teaching, research and creative
activities. Ryerson is also a leader in adult learning, with the largest
university-based continuing education school in Canada. 
An experienced theatre professional and educator with a vision of
excellence in artistic training, you will be interested in this
tenure-stream appointment, which is normally for a term of five years,
and commences July 1, 2010. An accomplished manager and team builder,
you will oversee financial and human resources, promote and enhance the
School's conservatory style pedagogy, forge effective partnerships, and
advocate the potential for new facilities. In addition to a terminal
degree and/or relevant professional experience, you have a broad
knowledge of the Canadian arts and entertainment field, the qualities of
inspirational leadership, and a capacity to strategically plan and
implement the details of academic administration.
