Additional information:
WJT is presenting the Canadian Premiere of Vern Thiessen's Lenin's
Embalmers in a co-production with the Harold Green Jewish Theatre
(Toronto).  The show opens in Winnipeg October 14, 2010 and will close
in Toronto November 21, 2010.

The roles being auditioned in Winnipeg by director Geoffrey Brumlik are:

Vlad:   Male 30-55 yrs  - Brilliant, somewhat eccentric scientist,
Russian Jew.
                             
Boris:  Male 30-55 yrs - Highly gifted scientist, Russian Jew; more
social than Vlad.

Nadia:  Female -  Requires skilled character actress; three distinct
roles:
Aspiring scientist; shy but desires greatness. (20 -30 yrs.)
Boris's Wife; demanding; desires better life (30 -50 yrs.)
Lenin's widow

Lenin:  Male 35-60 yrs  - Enjoys telling jokes.

Stalin:  Male 35-60 yrs  -  Stalin when ascending to peak of power.
Unbalanced; darkly comic.

Krasin:  Male 30-60 yrs  -  Stalin's assistant.  Caught between pleasing
Stalin and everyone else.

Agents, Apparatchiks, Trotsky and Ramon:  2 Males - Various roles.
Versatile comic actors with menacing qualities ideal.

Auditions are April 11 & 12 at the Berney Theatre.  Callbacks are April
13 at the MAP Studio.

Deadline for submissions is March 31, 2010. Successful applicants will
be contacted to schedule an audition time.


Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the
audition.
