AUDITION PROJECT - SPOTS NOW OPEN TO ELIGIBLE ARTISTS FROM ACROSS
CANADA, APRIL 19 & 20
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Designed exclusively for professional theatre artists, this unique pilot
project taking place in Halifax, Nova Scotia, creates an opportunity for
artists at all stages of their careers to raise their profile in the
eyes of directors from across Canada.

The Audition Project is answering the call of professional artists for
more and better audition opportunities, and greater access to artistic
directors. Canadian Actors' Equity Association (Equity) and the
Professional Association of Canadian Theatres (PACT) will assemble 15
directors and artistic directors from across Canada, to audition
professional Canadian artists on April 19 and 20 at the Dalhousie Arts
Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Auditions are now open to open to all members of Equity in good
standing, and non-members who self-identify as Aboriginal or as a
visible minority or as part of the ethno-racial community, and who also
self-identify as a professional artist or are in the process of becoming
a professional theatre artist.

ACTRA members in good standing are also eligible to register for an
audition at this time.

Detailed information on this remarkable initiative, including
participating artistic directors, audition structure and audition
registration is now available online at http://www.caea.com.
