Additional information:
Under the supervision of Artistic Director, Susan Ferley, this programme
will include an opportunity to observe and participate in activities
through the course of a season.  Activities will include season research
and planning, educational research and programming, script development,
auditions, design meetings and workshops.  There will be opportunities
to observe the creation of productions for an A-house stage including
rehearsals, design consultations, production meetings, budgeting,
planning, research and development, realization of design and scheduling
for productions on this scale.  Communicating with designers, directors,
actors, crews, production staff, administration, boards of directors and
audiences will also be a focus through the Apprenticeship. 

There may be an opportunity to direct in the McManus Studio Theatre and
opportunities to assist MainStage Director, dependent upon the skill set
of the candidate. 

The candidate will be a graduate of a theatre school programme or
university equivalent and will have at least 3 years of professional
work experience as a director.  The successful candidate will be
creative and passionate about theatre and have the ability to work in a
team environment.  Experience in play development and teaching would be
an asset.
