REMINDER - S.M.Arts ON THE ROAD 2010 - VANCOUVER - MAY 13 - 16
------------------------------------------

The 2010 Stage Managing the Arts (S.M.Arts) "ON THE ROAD" Conference will take place Thursday, May 13 to Sunday, May 16 in Vancouver BC.

This is a great opportunity for working CAEA members to brush up on some skills, network with other stage managers and explore new genres such as stage managing Opera and Dance. The highlight of the conference for CAEA members will be a 3 hour seminar with Louis-Marie Bournival on how to train apprentices.

The Vancouver course schedule is now posted online at S.M.Arts' website www.stagemanagingthearts.ca. As in past years, S.M.Arts will be offering a conference pass which allows a participant to attend all of the courses for a substantially reduced rate.

S.M.Arts Conference Director Janelle Rainville and founder Winston Morgan and local SMs will host a series of seminars exploring the many aspects of the craft of stage management. These sessions provide a comfortable environment for new or experienced stage managers to hone their skills. The Conference is designed for both the experienced stage manager who is looking for diversification within their field and the student stage manager who wants to know more about their career choice.

Enquiries about the 2010 Conference may be directed to Janelle Rainville at smartsconference at gmail.com.

Equity is a key S.M.Arts sponsor as part of the Association's professional development mandate.
