Ethno-cultural mandate or ethno-cultural casting statement: Factory
Theatre is committed to diversity in its casting and encourages
submissions from all ethnic/cultural backgrounds for all auditions,
including general auditions.

Additional information: Factory Theatre encourages all actors with whom
we may not be familiar to submit themselves for our annual general
auditions.  Selected actors will be asked to prepare one monologue
written by a Canadian playwright no longer than 5 minutes in length.
               
Currently in our 41st season, Factory Theatre is the home of the
Canadian playwright and producer of the best theatrical works that they
have created.  Over any given year, more than 40,000 theatre goers come
to Factory's historic Victorian facility at the corner of Bathurst and
Adelaide Streets in Toronto to discover the productions offered as part
of Factory's season.  Factory Theatre is committed solely to the
development of Canadian plays and undertakes this role through
playwright commissions, staged readings, workshops, play productions and
festival creation.
