Descent is dedicated to working with the best artists in Canada, and

Additional information:
Common Descent is looking for 2 male actors and 1 female actor for the
world premiere production of Hero & Leander, a new musical written by
Wade Bogert-O'Brien, Scott Christian, and Kevin Michael Shea, at the
2011 SummerWorks festival (August 4-14).

Hero & Leander is a romantic comedy about sex, love, and commitment, set
in a highly stylized version of Ancient Greece that very closely
resembles downtown Toronto, circa 2011. Shortlisted for the RBC Under 30
Playwriting Competition, H&L is an emotional, hilarious look at
contemporary relationships, full of witty lyrics, powerful music, and
snappy dialogue.

About the company: Dedicated to groundbreaking productions of
pre-existing stories, Common Descent is a multi-disciplinary company
that both commissions original adaptations of stories and adapts works
from the international theatrical canon. Common Descent plagiarizes,
embellishes, remixes, and re-invents old stories.

Equity members participating in this production will be signed to a
Festival Policy application.
