Presentation House Theatre is looking for an experienced and vibrant Artistic Director (AD) to lead the theatre in this exciting period of growth and development. The AD will be responsible for:

*Creating and implementing the artistic vision of the company while developing, directing, producing and presenting artistic programs that hold true to the mandate of PHT
*Ensuring the development of new work via commissioning, creative partnerships, artist in residence programs.
*Taking a lead role in Arts Advocacy.
*Promoting and representing the Theatre and its programs in the community and beyond.
*Inspiring all stakeholders to support and promote the artistic mandate of the company
*Hiring artists and production personnel. 
*In partnership with the General Manager ensure the financial health and viability of the organization.
*In partnership with the General Manager ensure the successful hiring, supervision and evaluation of PHT staff.

Additionally, the AD must have proven experience in the following:

*Fundraising: grant writing, private and public sector partnerships and private sector donations.
*Community engagement: building relationships with stakeholders including board, staff, patrons, funders, audience, artists, government, other arts organizations, etc.
*Stakeholder relations: keeping key members informed and apprised of the company's activities.
