On the cusp of their 20th Anniversary, Toronto's award-winning Theatre Gargantua returns to the historic Factory Theatre to take you on a visceral exploration of ancestry, genetic memory and ghostly inheritance. IMPRINTS is an evocative, non-stop journey presented in the company's highly physical style.

IMPRINTS Lily is haunted. Her body is overrun with ghosts. They surreptitiously influence all aspects of her life. She does not even know they are there. Until she meets them face-to-face. IMPRINTS is the fantastical story of Lily, a woman haunted by the ghosts of her ancestors. While undergoing an experimental procedure, she is inadvertently transported down a very peculiar rabbit-hole. Here she encounters the ghosts of her genealogical past and discovers alarming keys to her present.

Theatre Gargantua: Founded in 1992 Theatre Gargantua's productions meld daring evocative physicality, bold imagistic sets, striking original vocal work and the innovative use of emerging media and video technologies.   Since its inception in 1992, 8 cycles have been completed, with a 9th to premiere in the fall this year. The company has garnered 27 Dora nominations, including Outstanding Production, Outstanding New Play, Outstanding Direction, Outstanding Music and Outstanding Set & Lighting Design, winning three. The company has toured works provincially, nationally and internationally to critical acclaim.

Performers interested in working with the company should be in very good physical condition, able to sing well (please indicate range) and have a strong interest in creating original, innovative theatre.
