Additional information:
Dear Johnny Deere is a new musical, built entirely around existing songs
by Fred Eaglesmith.
Please note that all of the characters will be required to sing a
cappella and play a musical instrument.

Roles:
Carolyn: tough farming woman, 30 - 40 yrs. old.  Strong singer and
instrumentalist. Mezzo range.

Johnny: tough farmer, 35 - 45 yrs. old. Strong singer who can carry the
majority of the songs in the show. Strong guitar player. Tenor or
Bari-tenor range.

Mike: 30 - 40 yrs old.  Strong singer and instrumentalist. Tenor or
Bari-tenor range.

The musical load is very heavy in this show and all of the Artists will
play significant roles as bandmembers as part of the action of the play.
Strong instrumental skills are required - preferably (but not limited
to) stringed instruments such as guitar, banjo, mandolin and fiddle.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the
audition.
