Additional information:
Gateway Theatre is looking for an Artistic Associate starting July 9,
2012 and ending September 2013 Monday - Friday with some weekends and
evening work as required. This position will be covering a Maternity
leave.  Candidates with at least five years of professional theatre
experience are encouraged to apply.

Reporting to Artistic Director Jovanni Sy, the candidate will be
responsible for producing the SceneFirst play development program and
other special projects. The position will also act as artistic liaison
for all Gateway programs, assist the Artistic Director in casting,
planning, researching and implementing MainStage, Studio B, SceneFirst
and Community Connections programming.

Skills required include a thorough knowledge of professional theatre
practice with specific reference to actors, directors, designers and
other artists and theatre practitioners working in the Lower Mainland.
Computer skills are a must; particularly Word, Excel, and
Outlook.Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
along with superb organizational abilities. Abilities to multitask and
navigate the sometimes volatile world of theatre with diplomacy and
grace under pressure are important talents needed to succeed in this
position.
