NEGOTIATIONS FOR THE 2012-2015 STRATFORD ADDENDUM TO THE CTA
SUCCESSFULLY CONCLUDE

Equity announces that bargaining for the 2012 - 2015 Stratford
Shakespeare Festival Addendum  to the Canadian Theatre Agreement (CTA)
have successfully concluded. 

Equity members in good standing who worked under the Stratford
Shakespeare Festival Addendum to the CTA during the 2009-2012 term are
eligible to vote on the ratification of the proposed changes to the
2012-2015 Agreement. A ratification vote by mail ballot (only) will
commence in the last week of October, 2012.

Equity and the Stratford Shakespeare Festival entered into formal
negotiations in September 2012. Bargaining concluded on Tuesday, October
16, 2012.
 
The negotiated financial increases in the new Addendum are: 1.5% in year
1; 1.5% in year 2; and 2% in year 3. Other negotiated improvements
include: additional fee increases for Stage Managers with more than
three years seniority; and terms and conditions, including negotiated
minimum fees, for various new activities planned by the Stratford
Shakespeare Festival. 
            
Pending a successful ratification, the new terms of the Stratford
Shakespeare Festival Addendum will come into effect December 1, 2012. 
 
Further information regarding the negotiated changes will be available
