Ethno-cultural mandate or ethno-cultural casting statement:
Seeking a diverse cast.
Submissions welcome from experienced and qualified professional actors.

Additional information:

Producer: Melissa Hood / Director: Shaun Benson (ACTRA members)

Set in NYC, this powerful love story from Diana Son (The West Wing), explores an unexpected attraction between new friends, Sara and Callie, and an act of violence that irrevocably alters their lives.

Submit with character name in subject line.  Please no calls. We thank all applicants!

George: late twenties to late thirties
A super cool bartender who maintains a "friend-with-benefits" relationship with Callie. Possible "hipster" tendencies or could be a "guy's guy." Not a hustler, genuinely cares for Callie.

Peter:  mid-twenties to mid-thirties
Sara's ex from St. Louis.  When Sara is hurt Peter assumes the role of protector.

Detective Cole:  late thirties and up
Cole asks questions that we aren't supposed to, provoking Callie.

Mrs. Winsley/Nurse (Doubling):  late thirties and up
Mrs. Winsley hears the assault on Sara happening and calls 911.  Nurse helps Callie cross a bridge of caring.   Mature versatile actress.

NOTE:  Actors are expected to collaborate on some producing aspects of the show. This will be an amazing opportunity to jump into an intensive Meisner-based rehearsal process, work with an excellent cast, and learn about producing for Fringe.

Comedic chops welcome! Must be comfortable with subject-matter.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the audition.
