Gateway Theatre is looking for a Communications Coordinator, Marketing & Publications to
join our team. You are detail and numbers oriented, a creative problem solver, and able to
work independently on multiple, simultaneous projects in an open‐office environment. 

Working closely with the Communications Manager and another Communications Coordinator,
the successful candidate will: develop and execute advertising plans for multiple departments;
oversee production of all Gateway printed marketing materials and publications;
write/edit numerous e‐newsletters; assist in writing, editing and proofreading services for the
company; and be responsible for budget development and expense tracking.

To be considered for this position you must have:
• exceptional writing/editing/proofreading/oral communication skills 
• exceptional organizational and time management skills
• experience managing multiple, competing priorities
• full proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and Word
• the ability to plan and execute marketing and advertising campaigns

Additionally, please state your level of experience with EACH of the following:
• knowledge of Metro Vancouver’s advertising scene, including theatre publications
• ad buying/negotiating 
• working with graphic designers and photographers
• knowledge of City of Richmond demographics and geography
• theatre industry experience
• knowledge of Theatre Manager, Constant Contact, and InDesign, Google Analytics
• video/photo shoot experience

The Gateway Theatre is a not-for-profit charity producing professional live theatre, an Academy for youth and working with community partners to produce their own shows.  The Individual Giving Coordinator is a full time (35 hours a week) entry level position, reporting to the General Manager.  The successful candidate will be a positive team player with education or experience in philanthropic relationship building and/or sales, and is an upbeat positive communicator; passion for the arts and experience in not-for-profit organizations is an asset. The hours of work are mainly daytime with some evening/weekend hours for events. The pay rate is $14./hour.

Summary of Duties:
- Stewardship of donor relations
- Stewardship of membership benefits (including AGM, newsletter copy etc)
- Development and management of campaigns related to individual giving
- In-kind giving from both corporate and individual donors
- Support Board fundraising events
- Sales of advertising in brochures
- Database management and Tax receipting

Qualifications:
- People-person
- Team player
- Positive, energetic personality
- Multitasking, very organized
- Excellent communicator, both written and verbal
- Education or experience in fundraising
- Chinese language skills an asset
