2013-2016 OPERA AGREEMENT NOW RATIFIED

The recently negotiated OPERA AGREEMENT with the seven regional opera producers (Pacific Opera Victoria, Calgary Opera, Edmonton Opera, Manitoba Opera, Opera Lyra, Opera Hamilton, and Opera Atelier) was ratified by the eligible Equity membership in a ballot count held today.
 
Members voted 92.6% in support of the proposed changes. The voting return rate on ballots mailed was 27.5%.

The ratified changes retroactively take effect as of July 1st, 2013, and the Agreement extends to June 30, 2016. 

Copies of the new Agreement will be available on EQUITYONLINE (http://www.caea.com) and in hard copy as soon as updating and printing
allows.
