Additional information:
Mask and movement skills are assets. We will contact successful candidates with audition appointments. Preparation: a classic and a contemporary monologue, each less than a minute and a half.

Male Characters (* Indicates doubled role):
M. Turcaret (45-55): A self-made financier; a cutthroat in shady business dealings, a fool in love, he yearns to be accepted into high society.
Frontin (25-35): a clever, ambitious rascal and manservant, the genius of machinations.
The Knight (25-35): A seductive charming wooer, a profession he excels at.
The Marquis (25-35): A young, debauched noble, in various states of drunkenness.
Flamand* (20-35): A bumbling, tactless, good-natured servant.
M. Rafle* (30-45): A cunning loan shark; the brains behind Turcaret's operations.
M. Furet * (50s): A comic scoundrel, disguised as a Bailiff.

Female Characters:
La Baronne (25-35): An aristocratic penniless coquette who shrewdly manipulates the men she seduces for money, but is undone by her passionate attraction to rogues.
Lisette (20-30): Baronne's maid/companion: innocently seductive, mischievously ambitious.
Marine* (20-30): Baronne's servant: calculating, materialistic, flirtatious, impudent.
Mme. Turcaret (45-55): Turcaret's country wife, garishly masquerading as a countess.
Mme. Jacob (40s): a gossipy matchmaker and dealer of second-hand trinkets.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the audition.
