Intro to Meisner two-day Workshop taught by Melanie Dreyer,
internationally acclaimed director and assistant professor at
Cornell University. 

This workshop will introduce participants to the beginning exercises of
the Meisner technique, a series of interconnected
improvisational exercises designed to aid the actor in creating
believable, responsive behavior on stage.

A rare opportunity for actors to explore COMEDY ON FILM with multiple
Genie, Gemini, and Dora Award winner SHEILA McCARTHY. This workshop is
also available to actors working in live performance. This comic
playground will be challenging & fun, where we can take bold risks, make
big mistakes & start over in a safe environment. Participants will build
comedic skills in scenes from across the decades, prepared with partners
for presentation at each session. Redirection, notes, tools, tips will
help actors leverage strengths, bringing characters & scenes to life.
Participants will gain confidence, ultimately, seeing expanded
possibilities for roles they might book.

Runs in Toronto April 2nd -27th, meets twice per week: Tues
(6:30-9:30pm) and again Sats (11am-2pm).
