Duties:
• Gateway Main Stage and Studio programs preparation
• Organizing and facilitating auditions
• Communication with artists for the 2013-2014 season
• Outreach at community special events
• Data Entry and record keeping of production materials, scripts, and headshots
• Assistance with artistic administration, as required
Under the supervision of the Artistic Associate, the student will receive training in programming, casting, and contracting artists. In her absence, the Program Intern reports to the Artistic Director.

Qualifications:
 Interest in and understanding of theatre, including arts education for youth
 Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and communication skills
 Detail oriented, extremely organized
 Computer skills in Microsoft Office suite
 Collaborative and a self-starter

This position is funded through the Summer Works program. 
You must: legally be entitled to work in Canada (Canadian citizen, permanent resident or have refugee status in Canada), be 15 – 30 years of age at the start of employment, and be a full-time student with the intention of returning to full-time studies in the fall. You must commit to the full duration of the work assignment, not have another full-time job (over 30 hours a week), and not attend full-time classes while carrying out this job.

Additional information:
The intern will work directly with Production and Front of House setting up events, preparing sets, props, costumes,  assisting with summer productions and other special events.
The intern will report first to the Production Manager and then the Head Carpenter, working closely with all production staff. 

Qualifications:
 Interest in and understanding of Theatre production, necessary
 Experience working backstage as crew and/or designer, necessary
 Stage management experience, an asset
 Second language, an asset
 Excellent organizational, multi-tasking skills
 Microsoft Office computer skills
 Superior interpersonal, communication skills

 Team player but able to work independently
 Must have a Vulnerable Sector Check (to work with children)
