Additional information:

We are soliciting submissions for the following roles:

Marcy Park - late teens to 20's, she is the poster child for the Over-Achievers. She speaks six languages, plays several instruments and sleeps only 3 hours a night.  She is clearly unhappy with her life.  Ability to play the piano and dance, an asset. Marcy is described as Asian. B3 - E5 (Soprano/Mezzo-soprano)

Chip Tolentino - Late teens to 20's, boy scout and champion of last year's Spelling Bee.  A cute, confident and popular kid who discovers puberty sometimes strikes at inopportune moments.  Excellent pop vocalist.  Character is described as Asian, but open to non-traditional suggestions.  Tenor C3 - B4

Mitch Mahoney - 30's to 40's, The Official Comfort Counselor. An ex-con who is performing his community service with the Bee.  He is rough around the edges, but comes to truly care for the spellers.  Excellent pop or gospel sound an asset.   Tenor E3 -A4 (B4)

William Barfee - late teens to 20's, quirky and eccentric with excellent comedic timing.  His famous "Magic Foot" method of spelling has boosted him to spelling glory, even though he only has one working nostril and a touchy personality.  Tenor Eb3 - Bb4
