NEGOTIATIONS FOR THE 2013-2016 CANADIAN OPERA AGREEMENT SUCCESSFULLY
CONCLUDE

Equity announces that bargaining with the Canadian Opera Company (COC)
for the 2013-2016 Canadian Opera Agreement (COA) have successfully
concluded. 

Equity members in good standing who worked under the COA during the
2010-2013 term are eligible to vote on the ratification of the proposed
changes to the 2013-2016 Agreement. A ratification vote by mail ballot
(only) will commence shortly, pending the conclusion of concurrent
agreement negotiations (including those for the Opera Agreement).

Equity and the COC entered into formal negotiations in mid-May 2013.
Bargaining concluded on Wednesday, May 29, 2013.

Pending a successful ratification, the new terms of the COA will come
into effect June 30, 2013.
