This class is suitable for all levels--either professionals working in the field of musical theatre, or for those new to music theatre. Each student is asked to bring two short contrasting musical selections to class. Everyone will receive suggestions for new repertoire to add to their existing material.

Build upon your actor training to help you feel comfortable singing. In the four weeks, we will address basic practical and technical necessities of singing such as breath, body alignment, emotion and pitch, as well as playfully exploring the connection between our body and our singing voices through improvisation, melody and partner work.

During this 3 hour workshop we will create the space to be silly, make mistakes and surprise ourselves. The afternoon will include group work, partnered exercises and individual work. We will use improvisation, imagination and practical tools to encourage free, engaged and unencumbered sound. Build confidence and skill while having some fun.
