Additional information:
The Department of Theatre & Dramatic Arts invites applications for a continuing appointment in Design and Production, at the rank of Instructor, starting July 1, 2014, subject to Board approval.

Applicants should possess a terminal degree in theatre/ dramatic arts, and a record of professional theatre experiences in lighting design, as well as other design and production areas. Experience in teaching at the post-secondary level is an asset. The University aspires to hire individuals who have demonstrated excellence in teaching and creative activity, and have the potential to contribute actively to the Department of Theatre & Dramatic Arts and the Faculty of Fine Arts.

The successful candidate will teach courses in lighting design and other courses in her or his area of expertise. The candidate will also design for the Department's productions.

Applicants should possess a terminal degree in theatre/dramatic arts, or a combination of practical experience and exceptional teaching. Professional experience in theatre stage management and other areas of technical theatre are required. Experience with post-secondary institutions is an asset. The University aspires to hire individuals who have demonstrated excellence in teaching and creative activity, and have the potential to contribute actively to the Department of Theatre & Dramatic Arts and the Faculty of the Fine Arts.

The successful candidate will teach courses in stage management and other courses in her or his area of expertise. Supervision of student technical crews, and responsibility for safety and equipment coordination are assigned to this position.
