Driftwood Theatre invites submissions for its upcoming auditions for
Hamlet as part of its 2015 Bard's Bus Tour.

As a company dedicated to exploring classic theatre through text-based,
physical theatre and vocal A Cappella forms of presentation, Driftwood
is looking for actors who possess strong text, movement and singing
skills.

CHARACTER BREAKDOWN:
Claudius/as cast: King of Denmark (male, 35-45)
Gertrude/as cast: Queen (female, 45-60)
Polonius/as cast: advisor to Claudius (male or female, 50-60)
Laertes/as cast: son to Polonius (male, 25-35)
Horatio: friend to Hamlet (male or female, 25-35)
Guildenstern/as cast: friend to Hamlet (female, 25-35)
Rosencrantz/as cast: friend to Hamlet (male, 25-35)

Please express interest and submit photo & resume to Driftwood at
jsmith at driftwoodtheatre.com. Please indicate which of the above roles
you would like to be considered for, as well as any singing/physical
theatre abilities. At this time, we are not accepting submissions for
the roles of Hamlet or Ophelia.

Prepare two contrasting Shakespeare monologues (no more than 1 minute
each) and be prepared to read from sides. Only one monologue may be
seen.

Both CAEA members and non-CAEA members will be considered.  Electronic
submissions only. Only those selected for an audition will be contacted.


Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the
audition.
