The Arts Club Theatre is currently accepting resumes for its production of  RED ROCK DINER BY Dean Regan. The director is Valerie Easton and musical director Steven Greenfield.

Inspired by legendary Vancouver disc jockey, Red Robinson, Dean Regan's infectious jukebox musical captures the excitement and innocence of Vancouver's burgeoning rock and roll scene. In June 1957, five young men and women grow into adulthood against the backdrop of the biggest hits of the time from the raucous Great Balls of Fire and Jailhouse Rock to poignant ballads like Diana and Crying. 

We are in search of  a performer for the following role:

RICHARD - Based on the infamous showman Little Richard, Richard is a bit of a story teller who generally likes people and is a good listener. He dreams of appearing as a singer/dancer at the Apollo Theatre in Harlem. We are looking for a strong triple threat performer, comfortable with 1950's rock and roll.

The show runs June 10 - August 2, 2014, at the Arts Club's Granville Island Stage with a possibility to extend through August.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the audition.
