EQUITY BYLAW UPDATE
-----------------------------------

Equity's Council encourages all members to be familiar with the rules
that govern our Association. Electronic copies of the current bylaws are
always available in the "Document Library" section of EQUITYONLINE
(www.caea.com), and are available in print format upon request to the
Association.

At its meeting of April 28, 2014, Council approved the following bylaw
changes:

Article 24(i): permit engagement filing fees were updated to mirror the
recent change in the basic dues rate.

Article 29.1: this new bylaw removes access to permit engagements and
apprenticeship for ex-members who have resigned and subsequently wish to
rejoin.

Article 89.1: members of ACTRA and AEA, with which we have reciprocal
agreements, are entitled to a reduced joining fee. This new bylaw makes
it
clear that the reduction only applies to the first instance of joining.

Article 29: was amended to streamline the process for rejoining, and to
remove overly broad language that might have prohibited rejoining for
arbitrary reasons.
