Additional information: Bob Curry Fellowship 

The Second City is pleased to announce and hold auditions to award up to
twelve performers from the Diversity Community for a Diversity
fellowship. The fellowship consists of a sixteen week master program
launched by The Second City Diversity and Training Center divisions. The
twelve performers will work with different Second City Artists to create
an Industry Showcase. These chosen performers will also have a chance to
be a part of the Second City and NBC Breakout Festival happening in
Chicago in Summer of 2015. Auditions for the Bob Curry Fellowship will
take place on Monday, November 10th, 2014 at 51 Mercer Street (Second
City Mainstage). 
Auditions are by appointment only.

Qualified talent must audition to be accepted into the program. See
requirements below. 

Applicants should have a strong background in improvisation and/or
sketch comedy. 
Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada at the time they
apply.
Both Equity/ACTRA and Non-Union actors may apply        
Talent should be a graduate of a Conservatory level program Professional
actors with a degree in theatre or extensive stage experience with some
improv training are also qualified to submit. 

Headshots and resumes will be reviewed for audition consideration and
scheduled appointments are on a first come basis. 

Please email your picture and resume (which must include relevant
improv/sketch/performance experience) to torontoauditions at secondcity.com
prior to November 4th, 2014.  Only email submissions will be accepted.

About the Audition: 
The audition will consist of twenty minutes of improvisation within a
group of eight-ten and a personal choice of a 2-3 minute comedic
monologue or stand-up piece.

About the Bob Curry Fellowship:
The Bob Curry Fellowship program starts January 6th, 2015 with master
classes meeting on Tuesdays from 1pm-4pm at The Second City Training

The Bob Curry Fellowship is the first master comedy fellowship of it's
kind offered at Second City Chicago and Toronto locations. The
fellowship honors Second City's first African American alum, Bob Curry
who performed on the mainstage in 1966.  

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the
audition.
