These workshops, set in a new well-equipped sound studio, will assist in building confidence in understanding the interplay between dialect and character giving you the opportunity to audition and perform with assurance in American productions for North American audiences. You will study the IPA, work vowel and consonant exercises, stress patterns and cadences, melody and intonation, first in theory and then in practical studio work.  6 hours/4 people. In this intensive, day long course you will learn techniques employed to attain an authentic accent. Exercises for clarity and articulation will be taught to support the shape of the accent. Texts are provided in these accents for you to practice and improve upon.

Study and practice the accents of Received Pronunciation, Cockney and Estuary.
