ABOUT THE PROJECT:

The City of Surrey, Heritage Re-enactment program is seen by thousands of Surrey festival and event participants each summer. The Re-enactors bring to life six Surrey pioneers through interesting, interactive and entertaining scripts, providing educational entertainment. Their presence at events encourages participant curiosity and sparks many impromptu and informal conversations about local history. The Re-enactors bring back memories for some and create new ideas and connections for others.

As one of six professional actors you will embody an historical character, re-enacting stories and events from Surrey's history during the period 1872 - 1945. You will present three scripted monologues at events and will also "rove" the site interacting with event participants through improvisational dialogue. Performances occur at both indoor and outdoor venues in Surrey, so it is imperative that you enjoy working in all kinds of weather. More information on the project can be found at:  http://www.surrey.ca/culture-recreation/11469.aspx

This will be an Equity production and will be produced under the ITA.

SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS: PLEASE SUBMIT ON CASTING WORKBOOK! List any musical instruments you play, voice range and relevant experience.

If you are not listed on CWB, email your headshot and resume to: YDudley-Neuman at surrey.ca
