Introduction Course – Basic Repetition: Listening & Answering
Description: An introduction to the Meisner technique with a focus on the Repetition Exercise. Actors will learn to shed self-conscious behavior and begin to focus their attention outwardly on their partner. Actors will learn to trust their natural instincts and impulsive behavior. There is no use of scripts for this course.  No pre-requisite Meisner work is needed to take this course.

We welcome people from all backgrounds and ages but expect that you will have training/experience in at least one of the following disciplines:  Singing/dance/acting/improv. NOTE:  This is not a beginner class. It is an opportunity to participate at a ground level to potentially develop an original work of musical theatre through collaboration, research and experimentation.

Additional information:

A 2 week Master Class in Musical Theatre performance focusing on creating characters, scenes and stories based on the given premise.  May 10 – 23. Daily 1-5.

The workshop is free but space is limited and requires a full commitment for the two weeks.
