THE EQUITY CENSUS OFFICIALLY LAUNCHES!

All Regular and Life Members of Equity including those on dues
remission, in good standing and with an email address on file, have
received a special email invitation to participate in Equity's BOLDEST
project ever: THE EQUITY CENSUS. Members without an email address on
file will receive a paper copy by May 4.

Help Equity turn words into action. All you need to do is tell us about
yourself.

WHAT IS THE EQUITY CENSUS? The Equity Census is a ground-breaking
demographic survey asking questions related to age, culture and
ethnicity, diverse ability, and gender and sexual identity across all
disciplines: performers (including actors, singers and dancers),
directors, choreographers, fight directors and stage managers working in
theatre, opera and dance.

WHAT IS ITS PURPOSE? The Equity Census examines the composition of
Equity's membership and seeks to identify potential barriers to
employment. The data gathered will be a powerful tool in collective
bargaining for equitable representation of diversity onstage and in
related hiring. Equity has engaged R.A. Malatest & Associates Ltd, a
leading Canadian market research firm, to conduct this membership
outreach project.

MAXIMUM PARTICIPATION: While participation is not mandatory, ALL members
are strongly encouraged to participate in the census. Broad member
