Ethno-cultural mandate or ethno-cultural casting statement: Tapestry Opera
encourages submissions from artists of all cultural backgrounds.

Additional information: Tapestry Opera will be holding auditions for its
2015-2016 and 2016-2017 seasons on August 25th and 26th.

Tapestry Opera is Canada's leading contemporary opera producer and
developer, annually commissioning, developing, and producing works from the
heart of here and now.

Artistic Director Michael Hidetoshi Mori and Conductor-in-Residence Jordan
de Souza are looking for classically trained singer-actors with experience
in opera, new music, and theatre. Performers who have previously auditioned
for Tapestry may re-audition. Tapestry Opera is a Canadian Actors Equity
Company working under the Canadian Theatre Agreement. CAEA performers with
professional experience in opera will be scheduled first. Non-CAEA
performers or CAEA performers without professional opera experience are
required to submit an MP3 or hyperlink to a recording of their voice
featuring repertoire that is suitable to the requirements of the musical and
dramatic challenges in contemporary opera and music theatre. The online

Tapestry will be casting for six upcoming shows and a number of workshops
over the 15/16 and 16/17 seasons during this audition process.
