Duties:
• Lead the Box Office team in providing top-notch service to patrons.
• Work with others in the Operations & Client Services department to provide
exceptional service to producing rental clients, while expertly serving the
needs of Gateway’s professional theatre season patrons as well as
registrations for Academy program families.
• Support and maintain Theatre Manager software for all Gateway departments.
• Coordinate Gateway Theatre website changes and updates.
• Liaise with the City of Richmond IT department to provide consistent,
secure IT services throughout Gateway.
• Other duties as required

Qualifications:
• You have outstanding customer service and communication skills and enjoy
coaching others.
• You are detail-oriented, methodical, and a creative problem-solver who
loves to tackle challenges and share solutions with others.
• You have a strong familiarity with MS Office software and are adept at
mastering new software applications.
• You have box office experience and staff supervision experience.
• You are fluent in English (Cantonese and/or Mandarin language skills are
an additional asset).
• You are bondable.

Duties:
• Efficiently coordinate the front of house during events, liaising with box
office attendants and backstage crew to ensure the prompt and smooth
operation of show start times and intermissions.
• Supervise volunteers and concession staff.
• Trouble-shoot any challenges that may arise during an event or performance
and document these on the daily Front of House Report.
• Uphold Gateway policies and procedures; including health & safety
procedures and food & beverage policies.

Qualifications:
• You have prior FOH Management or other service experience in the arts and
cultural sector.
• You have experience leading volunteers.
• You are bondable and have first aid training.
• You are comfortable working alone and are able to lift heavy supplies on
occasion.
• You are over 19 years of age and possess a valid “Serving It Right”
certificate.
• You are fluent in English (Cantonese and Mandarin language skills are an
additional asset).

The position is part-time and pays $14/hour.

environment under the direction of the Front of House Manager.
• Ensure proper accounting and controls of concession products; reconciling
cash sales at the beginning and end of shifts.

procedures and liquor control policies.
• Represent Gateway in a professional, inclusive, and welcoming manner.

Qualifications:
• You are enthusiastic about sharing live performance with volunteers and
theatre patrons.
• You have excellent customer service and communication skills.
• You have prior food or beverage service experience, as well as experience
in the arts and cultural sector.
• You are bondable and are able to lift heavy bar supplies on occasion.
• You are over 19 years of age and possess a valid “Serving It Right”
certificate.
• You are fluent in English (Cantonese and Mandarin language skills are an
additional asset).

The position is part-time, paying $11/hour plus gratuities.

Additional information:
Under the supervision of the Marketing & Sales Manager, the successful
candidate will support the activities of the department and execute the
marketing campaigns for the Gateway Theatre’s programs, including the
Signature Series productions and the Gateway Academy.

The position is permanent, full-time (35 hours per week). The hours of work
are mainly daytime (Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm) with occasional evenings
and week-ends. Start date is mid-Sept.

Responsibilities will include:
• design and printing liaison
• advertising booking and co-ordination
• website and social media updates
• compiling and editing materials for house programs
• direct mail and email campaigns
• co-ordinating and distributing print collateral
• opening night invitations
• awards registration & ticket donation requests

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Strong writing, communication and interpersonal skills
• Prior experience in marketing
• Proficiency in MS Office software
• Knowledge of local arts and culture community is an asset
• Fluency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese is an asset

You should be reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working on multiple
projects concurrently, both on your own or as part of a team.
