ULTRASOUND (workshop)

WORKSHOP DATES:  Monday, May 11 - Saturday, May 23, 2015 (2 weeks) Play
Synopsis: Alphonse, who is Deaf, is married to Miranda, an aspiring
actress who is losing her hearing.  Although Miranda speaks, the couple
communicates through American Sign Language. Employed as an accountant,
he was raised in a completely Deaf environment. Strong-willed, and
stubborn, he nonetheless is sensitive to his isolation from the hearing
world. He loves his wife deeply. However, when Miranda becomes pregnant,
the prospect of a hearing child reveals his prejudices and threatens to
tear the marriage apart.

also accepted in ASL.

Performers in consideration will be provided sides and a script.

DEADLINE TO SUBMIT: FEBRUARY 18th, 6pm
AUDITION DATE: MARCH 3rd, 7 - 10pm & MARCH 5th, 6 - 10pm

ASL interpretation is provided during the audition and workshop process.


Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the
audition.
