Ethno-cultural mandate or ethno-cultural casting statement: 
These auditions are open to all ethnicities.

Additional information: 
These auditions are for two productions of Anne & Gilbert, in 2015,
both of which will be directed by Martha Irving. Auditions will be held
in Toronto. Candidates selected for an audition will be provided with
the location.

We are accepting submissions for the following roles for Charlottetown:

Anne Shirley  (16-22) Vocal Range G3 to F5
Diana Barry (16-22) Vocal Range A?3 to C5
Josie Pye (18-24) Vocal Range B?3 to E?5

And for the second production:
Gilbert Blythe  (16-22) Vocal Range A2 to G4
Royal Gardiner (20-25) Vocal Range B?2 to E?4
Moody MacPherson (16-22) Vocal Range F#2 to F#4 (fiddle-playing a
definite asset)

"Anne and Gilbert"s storyline and characters are taken from the books
"Anne of Avonlea" and "Anne of the Island" by L.M. Montgomery.

Successful applicants will be asked to attend a dance call on Feb. 1st
from 9:30-11:00am. For their individual auditions, they are asked to
prepare 32 bars of two contrasting songs and a monologue. Those who have
submitted already need not resubmit. They will be contacted if
necessary.
 

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the
audition.
