1. MAE. Woman - First nations, or possibly mixed race, 20's - Looking for very experienced theatre actor, skilled with poetic, challenging text, adept at physical theatre and able to make brave choices. "A spirited young woman. She is single-minded and determined, a believer."

2. LLOYD. Man of colour, 20's - Looking for very experienced theatre actor, skilled with poetic, challenging text, adept at physical theatre and able to make brave choices. "A simple and good hearted young man. He is ungainly and unkempt."

A site-specific production opening May 21st in and relating to Kensington Market, with a view on post-colonialality. Links  two 1 act plays by the Obie-Award winning Pulitzer Prize-nominated Maria Irene Fornés, written 20 years apart, yet which share similar archetypes and themes. An ensemble production with the same cast in both plays, presented in one evening. 

Auditions late March 2015. If chosen to audition I require one contemporary speech and a 2 - 3 minute movement piece (no yoga).  Please be ready to discuss the plays, your character and know something of the company.  Callbacks will be in group workshop.  Thanking you in advance.
* CAEA members in this production will be signed to one of the collective policies.  
Funded by the Toronto and Ontario Arts Councils.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the audition.
