Factory. Theatre with Grit. From it’s founding in 1970 with a commitment to
Canadian stories; to the Heritage building that now houses the 45-year old
company; Factory’s vision has always conveyed indomitable courage, and
resolve; toughness; tenaciousness; and strength of character. In other
words, grit. Factory’s role is to boldly bring new Canadian voices to the
stage; to tackle uncomfortable truths and imagine a Canada where ALL
Canadian stories can be told in full colour; to nurture and recognize
artists who are proud of their heritage and possess an authentic theatrical
voice; and to push boundaries of theatrical form and practice. This is
Factory. Theatre with Grit.
