Urban Ink Production Society is a non-profit performing arts society based
in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside (DTES). We are entering our 15th season of
creating, producing and disseminating original Canadian live performance
works by Indigenous and Intercultural artists for local, national, and
international audiences. Our mission & mandate is to ignite and inspire
revolutionary voices that transform our world. We collaborate with artists
and communities to push artistic boundaries through the creation and
production of innovative Indigenous and Intercultural performance works. We
are dedicated to providing a platform for these artists to tell their own
stories from their own unique voice.

Position Profile:
Reporting to the Board of Directors and working closely with the Artistic
Director and support staff, the General Manager is responsible for the
administrative, financial and marketing management of the company.
The General Manager’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:
•  Managing the day-to-day operations of the company
•  In conjunction with the Board and Artistic Director, developing and
executing a multi-year strategic plan for the operation of the company
•  Developing and overseeing the annual operating budget and project budgets
and managing the company’s financial operations
•  Overseeing fund development and raising funds from individuals,
corporations and foundations
•  Articulating the company’s mission, vision, values in work clearly in all
communications including written and verbal
•  Applying for grants and administering those grants
